About the Role

As the Game Lead, you will work very closely with our Creative Director; the two of you will work together in a partnership that will complement each other's skill sets in order to define and execute on the strategy for a new game, jointly creating a north star for the project and leading a team to success. While the Creative Director owns the creative vision for the game, you will own the process and business vision for the game - coming together to cover all bases and challenge each other where necessary.

You have a deep understanding of mobile games and game development, and love and respect for different audiences driven by a passion to create amazing experiences and change how they play games. In order to succeed in this role, you have to be able to juggle multiple responsibilities, ranging from strategic to hands-on, thinking entrepreneurially and making the most out of limited resources you have available. It’s crucial that the person in this role is willing to try new things and is not afraid to fail with an innovative approach to creating the next generation of games and getting them to millions of people.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Design to help define the product strategy
• Lead a multidisciplinary team on a day to day basis, ensure that everyone has what they need and requirements are clearly defined
• Ensure a great work environment within your new games team which allows everyone to be the best version of themselves and create something amazing together
• Be the communicator and the organiser of the team and ensure that everyone who needs to be involved is involved
• Liaise with other functions in the company, respect their time and share learnings with everyone in the organisation
• Understand what’s happening in the market and share interesting trends with the team

Requirements

• Proven track record of creating and shipping a F2P game. Bonus points for casual mobile games experience.
• Experience leading a small game team and project managing their day to day
• Experience in setting clear goals, milestones and scenarios for outcomes
• Background of either Project Management/ Production or Product Management - ideally both
• Superb communication, people and leadership skills
• Understands game design principles well enough to work closely with the creative director
• Willing to roll up your sleeves and get things done on quality and time
• Driven yet humble attitude. Entrepreneurial mindset
• Previous experience working closely with shared tech, marketing and other functions
• Expert understanding of the F2P market

Location

Trailmix is operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings X with the remaining 2 days available to work from home
