IT Support Specialist

As our first dedicated IT Support Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for all on-site tech support queries, but also involved in a wide range of IT activities like planning studio expansions, purchasing, and basic security.  You’ll report to the CTO, and help us grow an internal support function as its first dedicated hire.  We’re looking for someone who can grow with the company, helping us define best practices for the department.

This role suits an individual who has the desire to not only to progress their career in IT Support but also play a key part in achieving Trailmix’s mission: to foster a culture of trust, respect and creativity which allows us to make beautiful long lasting games that can be played by everyone.

Responsibilities:

  • Help employees resolve issues they have with Mac and Windows laptops and desktops
  • Manage purchasing of new hardware, software, licenses, and maintain records on their allocation
  • Order, install and maintain AV and conferencing equipment across the office
  • Answer support questions from staff regarding our standard software packages
  • Manage inventory of company owned devices
  • Basic security audits and best practices implementation for on-site and cloud hosted systems
  • New employee setup, managing access for contractors or people leaving the company
  • Management of on-site IT equipment
  • Document IT practices for other employees to reference
  • Admin support for our standard tools
  • Maintain storage solutions for large file management

Requirements:

  • Capable of providing hardware and software support across Mac and PC environments
  • Can help coworkers on-site and remotely work through hardware and software issues
  • Experience acting as an admin with tools such as Google Workspace, Jira and, Confluence
  • Highly organized and proactive - it’s an early role so we’d love to learn from you as we grow together

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with virtualisation and container management software
  • Experience maintaining build infrastructures - eg: Jenkins, Teamcity

Location:

Trailmix is currently operating under a hybrid work model - we have 3 days a week (Monday, Thursday & Friday) in person at our brand new studio in Kings Cross with the remaining 2 days available to work from home.
